My photographic journey began with my honeymoon almost 40 years ago when I took some photos with my wife’s Pentax camera. I had no idea what I was doing. She said just make sure the needle in the viewfinder points between 5.6 and 8. And off we go.

A few years later after my son was born I bought my first camera a Minolta 6006 (film) and began learning how to make photos and would hope when the film was developed there would be a few good ones in the lot.

Creatively things really started to develop after going on my 1st workshop with Rick Sammon in Croton NY in 2008 where my understanding of light, composition, subject was beginning to develop. Additionally Lightroom and Photoshop really helped with the post processing of images.

Since then I have been to many workshops and conferences where my skill set continued to evolve. I even won photographic competitions when I lived in NJ and even had one of my photos accepted into a competition in New York City. That was very exciting.

I have been an OM System photographic user since 2013 and currently use the OM-1 mk2 camera. I have never looked back after making the switch from Nikon.

Today my focus in photography is centered around birds and wildlife in the greater Tampa Florida area. I travel to the Great Smoky Mountains to photograph amazing landscapes and cascading water. I am a member of the Tampa Audubon Society as well as the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts.
